Who we are
Quimera Technology is a trading name of Quimera Technology Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 06648284). Our registered office is Chestnut Field House, Chestnut Field, Rugby, Warwickshire, CV21 2PD.
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, Quimera Technology Limited is the data controller.
What data we collect
We collect personal data in the following ways:
Contact form submissions
When you submit our contact form, we collect:

- Your email address
- Your organization (if provided)
- The content of your message
This data is collected on the basis of your consent (by submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymised data about how visitors use our website. This includes:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referral source (how you found us)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Approximate geographic location (country/city level)
GA4 does not store your IP address. This data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used and improving it.
Server logs
Our web server automatically records standard access logs, including IP addresses, browser user-agent strings, and pages requested. These logs are retained for security purposes and are deleted after 30 days.
How we use your data
We use the data we collect to:
- Respond to your enquiries and provide the services you've requested
- Improve our website and understand how it's used
- Protect our website from abuse and security threats
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We will never send you unsolicited marketing communications.
Data sharing

Data retention
- Contact form submissions: retained for 2 years from the date of submission, then deleted
- Analytics data: retained for 14 months (Google Analytics default)
- Server logs: retained for 30 days

Cookies
Our website uses cookies set by Google Analytics to distinguish users and understand website usage. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information.

Consulting engagement data
When you engage Quimera Technology for consulting services (fractional CTO, network architecture, strategic advisory, or technology due diligence) we will have access to information about your organization's technology estate, vendor relationships, architecture, security posture, and business strategy. This information is handled under the terms of our consulting agreement, which includes explicit confidentiality provisions.
Engagement-specific data is stored separately from website data, is accessible only to the team members working on your engagement, and is retained for the duration of the engagement plus a reasonable period afterward (typically two years) to support warranty and follow-up questions. At the end of that period, or upon your request, engagement data is securely deleted.
We will never use information learned during one engagement to benefit a competitor. We will never reference your organization, your technology estate, or your engagement in marketing materials, case studies, or public communications without your explicit written consent. This commitment applies indefinitely, not just during the engagement period.
International transfers
Analytics data processed by Google may be transferred to and stored on servers outside the UK. Google has implemented appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date.
